Grove Christian School

Kindergarten - 2nd Grade

Welcome to The Grove Christian School

Welcome to Grove Christian School. We are honored to partner with families in the education and discipleship of young children during the foundational kindergarten through second-grade years. Our school exists to provide a safe, nurturing, Christ-centered learning environment where children grow in wisdom, character, faith, and academic readiness.

Grove Christian School serves as an extension of the Christian home and a ministry expression of The Grove Church. We believe children flourish when school and home work together with shared expectations, open communication, and a mutual commitment to helping every child know the love of Jesus and develop habits that lead to lifelong learning. Our prayer for every student That each child would feel known, loved, safe, encouraged, and challenged to grow - spiritually, academically, socially, emotionally, and physically.

Mission, Vision, and Philosophy

Mission Statement

Grove Christian School partners with families to develop students who love God, love others, and pursue excellence in learning and character.

Vision

We desire to cultivate young learners who build a strong foundation in reading, writing, mathematics, and biblical truth; who practice kindness and integrity; and who discover that all of life can be lived for the glory of God.

Educational Philosophy

Educational Philosophy We believe children are image-bearers of God with unique gifts, abilities, and learning needs. Early elementary education should be joyful, structured, developmentally appropriate, and intentionally shaped by a biblical worldview. Teachers present truth with clarity and warmth, set age-appropriate expectations, and create classroom routines that support security, wonder, and growth.

• Learning should be academically strong and spiritually meaningful.
• Character formation is an essential part of education, not an optional addition.
• Young children thrive through consistent routines, loving accountability, and active engagement.
• Parents are the primary God-given influence in a child's life, and school should reinforce that role.
• All subjects can be taught in a way that reflects God's truth, beauty, order, and purpose.

Statement of Faith

Grove Christian School operates in alignment with the biblical beliefs of The Grove Church. The following summary is written for school-family use and reflects the church's published beliefs.

We believe there is one all-powerful and all-knowing God who loves mankind and has revealed Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe humanity lives in a fallen condition because of sin and is unable to restore relationship with God apart from a Savior.

We believe Jesus Christ was born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died for the sins of mankind, rose again, and is the only way of salvation.

We believe the Church is called to proclaim the hope of Jesus Christ and demonstrate His love through worship, discipleship, service, and mission.

We believe communion and water baptism are biblically modeled ordinances that testify to faith in Jesus Christ.

We believe Jesus heals and that the Church should pray in faith for the sick.

We believe Jesus Christ will return and that God will ultimately bring final judgment and the fulfillment of a new heaven and a new earth.

We believe the 66 books of the Bible are God-inspired and fully trustworthy for teaching, instruction, and spiritual formation.

We believe the Holy Spirit indwells believers, empowers holy living, gives spiritual gifts, and helps us understand God's truth.

We believe marriage is a covenant relationship between one man and one woman and that the family is a primary setting for love, discipleship, and nurture.

The Grove Code

The culture of Grove Christian School is shaped by The Grove Church's ministry values, known as The Code. These principles help students, parents, teachers, and volunteers understand the kind of community we are building together.
